Reviews and Ratings
I had an incredible experience at this hotel! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcomed and at ease. The rooms were beautifully maintained and offered stunning views, although I did notice some faint tram sounds occasionally. The hotel really lives up to its reputation of luxury, and the value for money is fantastic! I can't recommend it enough, though the dining options could use a bit more variety.
I had a lovely stay at this hotel, appreciating its enchanting style that's reminiscent of a bygone era. It’s strategically located, making it easy to explore San Diego. The rooms are spacious with a charming atmosphere, although the dining experience didn’t quite meet my expectations. The service was generally good, but there were some small inconveniences like noise and lack of some basic amenities.
My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The location was ideal, with easy access to many attractions and eateries. I loved the spacious rooms, but I had some issues with noise and the air conditioning. The service was decent, though it often felt like the staff was a bit unavailable. Overall, while the hotel has great potential, there are definitely some areas that could use improvement.
The Westgate Hotel has a classic charm and vibrant decor that truly enhances the ambiance of the stay. The location is conveniently close to downtown, yet it can feel a bit dead with limited surrounding retail options. While the rooms are spacious and well-maintained, some can be quite noisy due to street traffic. Dining prices are steep, particularly for breakfast, which might make you reconsider your options outside the hotel.
I had a wonderful experience at this hotel! The service was outstanding, with attentive staff who really went out of their way to make my stay enjoyable. The location was perfect, just a short walk from Little Italy and the Gaslamp District. However, I did have a minor issue with my initial room request not being honored. Nevertheless, the food was exceptional, especially the seafood chowder, and the ambiance was lovely. Overall, a great stay despite a few hiccups.
This hotel has some charming aspects and the staff was incredibly personable. However, the condition of the property feels outdated, and I found my experience at the restaurant very disappointing, especially for the price we paid. The location is fantastic for exploring the Gaslamp Quarter, but the noise from nearby metro traffic can be quite bothersome.
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. While the gym and pool facilities were excellent and offered a variety of options, my room was pretty noisy, partly due to the dated windows. I also appreciated the strong water pressure in the shower. Overall, the hotel is well-situated with gorgeous amenities, but the infrastructure could use some refreshing.
My recent stay was quite frustrating, especially given the lack of communication and issues with the amenities. The room was fine overall in terms of size, and I appreciated the effort by the restaurant staff. However, the service at the front desk was lacking, and I ran into several issues that hampered my experience. Overall, it was not the luxurious stay I expected for the price I paid.
